Our story

Since 2018, we are driven by an unwavering passion for digital pathology innovation.

2018

The birth of Primaa

Primaa was created in 2018 when Marie had the idea to incorporate AI assistance to enhance her daily practice in pathology, saving her time and easing certain repetitive tasks.

2019

The first prototype of Cleo

A few months later, we released a first PoC of our first product, Cleo, an AI-powered solution developed to assist pathologists in the precise identification of diverse breast cancer biomarkers.

2019

Our Pre-seed Fundraising round

In 2019, we raised our first round of equity, with 50 Partners as our first believers.

2021

First clinical results received

In 2021, we received the first results of our clinical study. The data collected from these initial clinical trials demonstrated not only the safety of Cleo but also the efficacy of the solution.

2021

CE certification achieved

Cleo received the CE marking that enabled commercialization across Europe.

2023

First scientific article published

In 2023, our first scientific article was published in the prestigious journal PLOS Digital Health, entitled “Multi-center automatic detection of invasive carcinoma on breast whole slide images”. It demonstrated the algorithm’s ability to localize invasive carcinoma on breast slides. Using data from multiple sources, we show that its robust precision is maintained in a multi-center setting, therefore proving our ability to adapt to data coming from any laboratory.
